What is ISO 45001:2018

ISO 45001:2018 is the new international standard for Occupational Health and Safety, which replaces the OHSAS 18001/ELOT 1801 standard and can be applied by all categories of organizations regardless of their subject matter, product or product service they provide. It focuses on effectively controlling all occupational hazards involving both employees in an enterprise, visitors and generally the wider community. Also it aims to achieve improvements in overall health and safety performance at occupational workplaces.

The requirements of ISO 45001:2018 Standard can be applied to any Organization that wishes:

Transition from OHSAS 18001:2007 to ISO 45001:2018

ISO 45001:2018 has been valid since March 2018, and the transition period expires on the 11th of March 2021. During this period, organizations that have already been certified against the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 will have to revise their system, be audited and receive the ISO 45001:2018 certificate.

Certification Process / Required Documents

The Organization interested to achieve certification against ISO 45001 standard requirements CSA and fills in the Client Detail Information.

An initial audit is conducted and if successful, a certificate of compliance is issued that is valid for 3 years, provided that the organization undergoes annual audits.
